Pharmacy Dispenser/Technician

We currently have a vacancy for a pharmacy dispenser/technician to join our friendly team at Newtonhill Pharmacy.

The ideal candidate will have the NVQ2/NVQ3 dispensing assistant qualification and/or experience of working in a community pharmacy.

Duties will include:

Dispensing repeat and acute prescriptions.
Liaising with the Pharmacist and other members of the Pharmacy team
Dealing with Compliance Aids
Assisting in providing pharmacy services such as Pharmacy First, Medicines, Care and Review and Smoking Cessation
Giving Healthcare Advice

Essential Skills and Requirements:

Minimum NVQ2 qualification and/or pharmacy experience
Excellent communication and listening skills.
Good organisational skills, excellent time management skills and able to work to strict deadlines and multitask.
Able to build relationships with key partners (GP surgeries, care/nursing homes etc.)
A willingness to learn and apply new skills.

The role would be up to 40 hours/week, predominately Monday – Friday 9am-5.30pm, although there may be an occasional requirement for Saturday morning working.

The position is full time although a job share would be considered.
